Apple & Sage Pork Chops


I was at the grocery store about a week ago and I saw McCormick's new "Recipe Inspirations", for $2 with the recipe card and all the spices so I figured it sounded good why not give it a try. So I went and picked up all the ingredients today and tried it out!

Apple and Sage Pork Chops

Ingredients

Spices:
1 1/2 tsp. Rubbed Sage
1 tsp. Minced Garlic
1 tsp. Thyme Leaves
1/2 tsp. Ground Allspice
1/2 tsp. Paprika

1 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
4 boneless pork chops, 1-inch thick (about 1 1/4 lbs)
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 red apples, thinly sliced
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 cup apple juice

Directions
  1. MIX flour, all of the Spices and salt in small bowl until well blended. Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with 1 tablespoon of the flour mixture.
  2. COOK pork chops in hot oil in large skillet on medium-high until browned on both sides. Remove from skillet. Add onion; cook and stir 3 minutes or until tender. Add apples; cook and stir 2 minutes.
  3. STIR in juice, sugar and remaining seasoned flour until well mixed. Return pork chops to skillet. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 minutes or until pork chops are desired doneness. Remove pork chops to serving platter; keep warm. Simmer sauce 5 minutes or until slightly thickened. Serve sauce over pork chops.

Review:
My husband doesnt like onions, so I left it out, but it still tasted AWESOME!! I also pan fried up some red potatoes with just some salt and pepper and dipped them in the sauce from the pork chops and that was delicious too! I will most definitely be cooking this one again!
